ATTENTION ALL IPHONE USERS: YOU MUST USE YOUR SAFARI BROWSER TO ACCESS THE VIRTUAL TERMINAL
Our office is open, however, we are only offering telehealth appointments at this time due to COVID-19. Please continue to call the office and schedule your appointments when needed. We will also be providing telehealth services for established patients ONLY that have scheduled appointments, during this unfortunate time with Coronavirus (COVID-19) going around. We understand that our patients want to be safe, cautious and implement social distancing. For those patients who do not have access to a computer or a smartphone, we are offering phone sessions as well. Most insurance companies are covering telehealth and phone sessions due to COVID-19. If you are concerned about cost, it will be your normal copay, deductible, or co-insurance.

We Will Take You Step by step
How Psychiatry Works
Initial Psychiatric Assessment
New patient evaluations last between 45 and 60 minutes. During this initial visit, we review and explore various aspects such as medical history, family history, social and environmental factors, situational variables such as work and school, and how this affects the patient’s thinking and feelings.
Diagnosis & Outcome
Based on the information gathered during the initial visit, we determine whether or not a patient meets criteria for a psychiatric diagnosis defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
Planning, Implementation & Evaluation
If a diagnosis is made, we discuss our findings with the patient and determine which symptoms are the most bothersome and having a negative life impact. We discuss treatment options such as prescription medications, psychotherapy or counseling, and lifestyle changes that are designed to target these symptoms that are top priority for a patient’s overall quality of life. Follow-up visits are focused on whether or not treatment is helping these symptoms and making changes accordingly or addressing any new or unresolved symptoms as warranted.
